Eli received a couple dump truck toys for his birthday & really enjoys them. I have showed him how to load up the dump truck with blocks & dump them out. He thinks that's fun. Here are pics:

Eli likes to dance when he hears music. It is the standard "baby dance" of moving his upper half up & down to the beat. I saw a couple other babies today do the same dance except they were standing. It's too cute. Here is Eli dancing to the "yummy in my tummy" song I sing while he is eating:
Here he is dancing & enjoying his "Wonder Pets" toy:
More dancing only this time to "Imagination Movers" theme song:
Eli likes to make baskets in his sports toy from Grandma/pa Clarkson. What's funny is he quickly figured out that the green switch inside the basket makes the score board change numbers. He spends more time pressing the switch than actually putting the ball in the basket!

Eli enjoys drinking his milk & water out of a variety of cups: straw cups, sippy cups, & open cups (open cup is only with adult help, of course). This cup is a cup with a lid & no stopper like in a sippy cup. He does well with it but sometimes spills it all over himself.
Okay this is too funny. At Costco they are selling Halloween costumes for a great price. After searching through the bins, we decided on a bee costume. It said 12-18 months on the tag, but it looked like it could fit him. When we got home we tried it on to see if it fit. Well, let's just say once zipped the crotch was on to the side & he could barely move his head. The whole event made me laugh so hard I cried, though, so that was good:

Eli loves our "kitty kats". Only Mocha, though, will let him "pet" her. I try to teach him to pet, but he prefers to "grab & pull" fur or whatever body part is closest. She is so patient & takes it for awhile at least:
Eli continues to practice pulling to stand but still prefers crawling:
Today we went to our breastfeeding group friend, Lily's, 1st birthday party. She had a "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" theme. Eli watches this show every morning. It was a good time except that Eli needed a nap so we left after the cake. Happy 1st Birthday Lily!!
This week Eli has his first dentist appointment. Until I talked to my parent educator, I thought he wouldn't need to go until all of his teeth were in. But, it's really 6 months after his first tooth comes in. Up until age 3 they just inspect his teeth & mouth to make sure there are no cavities or other issues. I'm a little concerned about how he'll do since I can hardly get any form of a toothbrush in his mouth but we'll see. We're going to a pediatric dentist so hopefully they have some tricks up their sleeves.
Also this week I will be celebrating my 32nd birthday....yikes!

I love the bee! Halloween is so much fun!
I'm nor sure if it was your singing or Eli's dancing, but Gael loved the yummy in your tummy video! Happy B-day, my 3-2 it right around the corner, too.
He's a better dancer than I am! Of course I've never had the pleasure of dancing to the "yummy in your tummy" song :)
The bee costume is too cute! He should wear it for Halloween even though it's a smidge small :)
Eli, you and Brayden have been doing the same things this week(dancing, playing basketball). How cute! Happy Birthday Amy!
Oh the bee is hilarious. Happy birthday this week! I got signed up to run with Sarah tomorrow. Only probably is I run like a snail and can only go about 4 miles. Oi. I will let you know how it goes! :)
