Cruisin', walking, Daddy's hat & Labor Day!!

This week held some fun activities, chiropractor/pediatrician visits & a holiday! When Eli started to see a chiropractor back when he was 3 months old (for torticollis), he received treatment until he was around 5 months old & then was discharged until he started to crawl. Now that he is crawling, I took him back (to a new chiro because our old one went out of practice) and she is working on aligning his lower back and a stiff/sore muscle in his neck. Now that he is older, the adjustments are a lot more involved and she does them while he lays on my stomach. He seems to do just fine with them & she said he should only need to come a few more times and then just every few months after that.

Eli does very well while I am gone each day. In fact, he decided to nap for my mom for the first time. He has napped for Grandma Clarkson a few times already. My mom allowed him to nap on her chest for 1 1/2 hours and said she enjoyed it thoroughly :) Way to go Eli for finally deciding to nap for Grandmas!!!

Eli continues to work on his cruising and walking skills and is getting closer each day! I think, as with crawling, he will just decide one day to make the leap and keep us guessing until then! Here is video to show him practicing both skills:

While crawling around (EVERYWHERE!), Eli likes to go over to the window and look outside. He does several times a day to check out what is going on:

For Labor Day, we went over to Grandma & Grandpa Clarkson's for probably the final swim of the summer. Eli enjoyed his floatation seat & also drinking the pool water! He also decided to keep his hat on which made mommy happy :)

This week holds a very special day for Eli's daddy & my hubby....Eric's birthday! On September 5th, Eric will turn a number between 38 & 40....can you believe it??? He is still so young at heart & I think always will be....which is why Eli loves his daddy so much! Eric is such a wonderful daddy & husband & always goes above & beyond in both roles. I always know I can count on him for anything & everything & that he will always put family first. Eli & I are very lucky he is in our lives!! We love you, sweetie! Eric is giving himself a gift & taking the week off of work....lucky him!
