Standing, girlfriend & tooth on the way????

Hello all! Well, not to fool anyone, Eli is not standing on his own yet, but he has always been good about holding his weight when you stand him up. He continues to get better and better with this and I can't help but wonder if he will skip crawling and go to walking! I credit this to his jumperoo as he has built his leg muscles up nicely from all the jumping! I've been told it's not best to skip crawling as they learn some important skills with crawling, but I can't make the boy if he doesn't want to!! Here's a pic of him standing up with Grandma Bidney's help:

Eli also has a girlfriend. Her name is Callie and she is 6 months old so he's "robbing the cradle" but mommy doesn't mind. She attends breastfeeding group and is one of the "veterens" like Eli. She is so cute and petite and is very intrigued by Eli, that is until he makes her cry. Eli hasn't quite learned the art of wooing a woman. Daddy will have to work with him on that. Visit Callie's blog to see a picture of her. Maybe some day we will show these cute pictures of them as babies on their wedding day! Oh wait, I forgot, Callie can't even date until she's 30 years old. Hmmm....not sure how that's gonna work ;) I'll have to remember to bring my camera to group to get a pic of them together.

In looking in Eli's mouth, I noticed an area on his bottom gums that looks like something may be trying to make it's way through. Having not seen a teething baby and not knowing how it feels (I read you feel the ridges of the tooth, but I'm still not sure if that is what I'm feeling, but then again, what else what it be??), I'm not certain. But, it's in the right location for his first tooth, so I think we may be seeing a tooth within the next couple of days. Here's a bad picture of what I'm talking about (you can see a little white area....barely, but it's there):

This week consisted of the usual: breastfeeding group, Music with Mar, running of errands, etc. Not many pictures/videos to share, but a few. Next week we have La Leche League meeting and breastfeeding group on the agenda. Also, FYI, we're trying REALLY hard to see if we can swing me working part time. A certain job that would pay well enough and is flexible with hours (you can work 16-36 hours) called me and will let me know soon if I am chosen for an interview. Someone who already works there is putting a good word for me, so I'm crossing my fingers and praying this works out. Then Grandma Bidney can watch Eli part time! I'll let everyone know if I get an interview and the results. If this works out, my dream of part-time work and spending the rest of the time with Eli (and future little ones....no I'm NOT pregnant ;) will come true!!

Just chillin'

Mommy, why do you take so many pictures of me?!?

Eli, do you have a tooth yet? I had a tough day with teething today. I was clingy and fussy and drooly and chewing on everything in sight. But mommy held and snuggled me and was patient. See you Friday!

How is Eli the cutest boy I know? What a doll-baby! You are so good at updating. I am so jealous of your skills. By the way, congrats on your Mama moving down. Eli is so lucky to have both of grandparents near, and I just adore your Mom!
