Picture A Day 11/4/11

Enjoying one of the last few fall days!

Anna, you kept pointing to the water and saying "Ehhh?" and then when we went to see the ducks, you tried to quack by saying "qak"!

You climbed to the top of the rock for the first time today, Eli! And of course, found a new friend in the process.

Picture A Day 11/3/11

Your weekday ritual, Eli: Lunch while watching Caillou & Clifford

You love animals so much, Anna! You cannot resist giving stuffed animals & real animals hugs & kisses. You also point out animals in books & on tv and pretend to tickle or pet. Here you are watching Ming Ming from "Wonder Pets" fly around the kitchen.

Picture A Day 11/2/11

Mimicking your dada!

You have made great strides in your coloring, Eli. You ask to color and take your time using lots of color. You take after your dad in your fine motor skills. Awesome!

Picture A Day 10/28/11

Sadly, Eli, you broke something special out of anger.  Today you had to use your boot bank money to buy a new picture frame.  We are working on your expressions of anger....we'll get there, buddy :(

Too funny, Miss Anna.  When I tell you we are going to brush your teeth, you lay down wherever you are ready to let mommy brush.  Too bad you aren't too excited about the actual brushing!

Picture A Day 10/26/11

So, a good friend of mine started a thing called "A Picture A Day" for her 2 girls. Essentially, she is making albums for her daughters that include 1 picture for each of them a day with captions about that particular memory. She is super crafty and artistic, and I am not, so instead of an album, I thought this would help me in my blogging. I feel like I have got into the habit of posting monthly, cramming in a bunch of pictures and info, but losing out on the daily memories. The stuff that REALLY make memories....ya know?? This way, I can sit down each night for 10 minutes, choose a picture, and write a caption about the thoughts I was having at the moment, a cute little saying, or just what the weather or major news story was that day. Takes less time overall, keeps me accountable, and helps me take the time to recount the uniqueness of each day. So, here we go!

Eli, you had your Halloween Preschool Party today and requested to sit next to your friend, Jonah. When you started preschool this year, you started with a new group of kids due to you switching days. I knew you would do awesome regardless as you are such a social kiddo. Jonah was one you talked about from day one, and upon meeting him awhile back, it made me feel proud that you be-friended him. He is such a quiet, shy kid and he seems so comfortable around you. You have a way of making friends feel good!

Miss Anna, this picture is too funny as for the life of me, I could not get you to stand still!! You are such a wildfire these days and you explore every nook and cranny, just as your brother did. Nothing is off limits for you, little lady, and you have performed many a table dance before we catch you at which time you come running into our arms....yikes! This picture was taken in the bathroom, of all places, because I knew as soon as you got in the hallway you would take off running!
