So, a good friend of mine started a thing called "A Picture A Day" for her 2 girls. Essentially, she is making albums for her daughters that include 1 picture for each of them a day with captions about that particular memory. She is super crafty and artistic, and I am not, so instead of an album, I thought this would help me in my blogging. I feel like I have got into the habit of posting monthly, cramming in a bunch of pictures and info, but losing out on the daily memories. The stuff that REALLY make memories....ya know?? This way, I can sit down each night for 10 minutes, choose a picture, and write a caption about the thoughts I was having at the moment, a cute little saying, or just what the weather or major news story was that day. Takes less time overall, keeps me accountable, and helps me take the time to recount the uniqueness of each day. So, here we go!
Eli, you had your Halloween Preschool Party today and requested to sit next to your friend, Jonah. When you started preschool this year, you started with a new group of kids due to you switching days. I knew you would do awesome regardless as you are such a social kiddo. Jonah was one you talked about from day one, and upon meeting him awhile back, it made me feel proud that you be-friended him. He is such a quiet, shy kid and he seems so comfortable around you. You have a way of making friends feel good!
Miss Anna, this picture is too funny as for the life of me, I could not get you to stand still!! You are such a wildfire these days and you explore every nook and cranny, just as your brother did. Nothing is off limits for you, little lady, and you have performed many a table dance before we catch you at which time you come running into our arms....yikes! This picture was taken in the bathroom, of all places, because I knew as soon as you got in the hallway you would take off running!

Picture a day is a great idea! I find that a quick post of a picture or a line or two is much easier (and less time consuming) than a long post. I do what I can and hope they enjoy it later in life.
