Happy 2013! Ever since the digits turned from 2012 to 2013, I have been thinking about what this year will/may hold for us....it's gonna be a big one! 2013 for us means we will be officially leaving the "baby" stage as Anna will be potty trained and most likely weaned. While I won't miss changing diapers/pull ups, I know that her last nursing session will be bittersweet. I know other nursing mamas can attest to the amazing relationship breastfeeding fosters between mother & child. I feel SO blessed that I have had successful and long lived nursing relationships with BOTH of my children. I know that I will forever remain a part of breastfeeding advocacy as other moms need the support that I received from area support groups, La Leche League, & fellow mamas. A.ma.zing!! In addition, I will be able to officially say that I have "school age" children as Eli will start Kindergarten and Anna will start preschool in the fall. YIKES!!! What a change this will be for my daily life. I know that Eli will love school, but it will be bittersweet for me as I will miss him and all our activities we do together on a daily basis. But, it also means I will have some afternoon "girl time" with Anna so I am sure that will make up for it! I am sure this year will also hold more excitement and change....hopefully all for the better!!
