Doing better but still a sicky boy!

Went to the doc yesterday for a follow up and while he is improving, he still is raspy and coughy. They decided to do an xray of his chest to make sure they weren't missing anything. Can I just say the xray procedure for an infant is just torture!! It's so sad how they have to strap them in to make sure they stay still and hold up their arms. It freaked me out and I'm an adult! Good thing he won't remember! Xray was clean, so that's good. Doc thought he may be getting an ear infection in his right ear so she prescribed amoxicillin for it. Eli has vomited about 1-2x a day due to all the mucus in his stomach and coughing, which is so sad because he just gets done eating and it ALL comes up. He doesn't seem to mind, though, and I just end up feeding him again 30 minutes later and he's okay. He also is going "#2" a lot more often. Doc said this is all due to the RSV virus and the fact that the mucous is upsetting his tummy. He will continue to get breathing treatments until we go back to the doc on Wednesday. So, he gets breathing treatments every 4 hours and takes the amoxicillin 2x a day along with tylenol if he gets a fever, which he does every once in awhile. Then I have to suction his nose A LOT which he hates with a passion. I can hardly do it he fights it so hard!! He's had a few breakdowns as a result where he is just fed up with everything!! Poor baby! But, he still is acting so well considering. He sleeps more often and his eating is okay, but sometimes he is so stuffed up that he choses to wait a little while. He hasn't gained weight this week and has in fact lost an ounce. It's so weird considering how he usually gains like a champ!! Eli has been sleeping with mommy & daddy which has been nice as he is sleeping really well this way. He likes to cuddle with mommy, it's too cute.....Hopefully all of our treatments will get rid of all this crud so we can go back to normal. Mommy hates him being sick and worrying about him. Especially when it involves his lungs...scares mommy!! Here's a pic of him being happy this week:

This is SO cute. Eli just started to decide that the music his laptop makes is fun to dance to....love it!!!

Hopefully next time I post I can say he is all better. We want to return to our breastfeeding group and play with our friends!!!

Awww, yes, the first sickness wouldn't be any fun I imagine (nor are any subsequent sicknesses!) Glad the treatments will help him get better!

LOVE that the laptop is making him groove now - helps build his computer skills like daddy's and music skills like mommy's! (Good gift Aunt Holly and Uncle Chris, hee hee)

We had to do the x-ray and breathing treatments in December when Rowan had pneumonia! It was torture! We had a fish mask though. :) So glad he is doing a little better.
